Worn and weary...

but for good reason.

You see, THIS is what we've been up to lately...

We are officially announcing we are expecting baby #3! But this time, I won't have to endure being pregnant during the stifling hot summer because

WE'RE ADOPTING!!

and we are SO excited about it!

We've known God had it in His plan for us to adopt at some point, but we always thought it would be after we had our last biological baby. Over the past year or so we've heard Him urging us to adopt now. After much prayer we knew it was time. We realized there was no need to wait until we were "done" having biological kids. And so we took the (very!) scary first step forward on our adoption journey!

We started filling out paperwork the very end of February and we were finally able to submit it to our adoption facilitator in the beginning of May. We received our acceptance letter about a week and a half ago. So now the next two steps we have to complete are to get our homestudy done and to fill out a second stack of paperwork for the agency. This will include the information that will create a file about our family to be presented to birthmothers. When a birthmom decides to place her baby up for adoption, our agency will give her our file along with others. Birthmom (not the agency) then reads through and chooses a family from these files. So you can see, this is a VERY important part of the process.

Another part that has been keeping us busy lately is our adoption garage sale fundraiser! We have been so very blessed by support from so many friends and family by donations for our sale, advice, and prayer! Today is the end of the first day of our garage sale and it's gone well so far.  We will be glad when this busy season will be over, but for now we are trying to survive life!

Thank you so much for your prayers as we go through these first few step! We are excited to be on the journey God has to bring Baby Stewart #3 home!

"Look and see, for everyone is coming home!  Your sons are coming from distant lands, your little daughters will be carried home. Your eyes will shine, your hearts will thrill with joy." Isaiah 60:4-5a (NLT)
